While driving home from Thanksgiving dinner in East Hollywood, paramedic Richard Recinos spotted an unusual glow in the sky. When he got closer, he realized a home was fully engulfed in flames.
He thought everyone had escaped —
until he saw 7-year-old Savannah standing alone on the porch, trapped by the fire.
Recinos didn’t hesitate for a second.
He zipped up his leather jacket for protection
Ran straight through the flames
And pulled Savannah to safety with seconds to spare
Firefighters arrived moments later and rescued the rest of her family.
